US News & World Report surveyed the major mortgage economists about their expectations for mortgage rates in 2023 and they are all expecting rates to drop throughout the year to 5.2% and 6.2%.

This will help improve affordability significantly and help fuel refinance activity from those who may have financed in the past 6-12 months.
