Change is inevitable, and this is certainly true in how we live and enjoy (or not) our homes. As life changes and needs, goals & dreams change, our homes need to adapt so we continue to love coming home each day. One of the best ways we serve clients during their home ownership journey is through great conversations where they get to know their short and long term plans, as well as what they like, love and even don't like about their home and neighborhood. Through having thousands of these conversations, we help clients get to the most meaningful information and decisions so they can move forward with confidence.
Can It Be Improved? Should It Be?
Moving is hard work, and when possible we look for solutions to help clients make the best of their current home, as it can save time, money and stress. However, through our conversations we may find elements which can't be fixed or improved such as lot size, neighborhood dynamics, commutes or even layout issues which are cost prohibitive. In these times, it may make sense to make a move.
When these issues don't exist we take the next steps, and brainstorm how to make improvements and changes to the home to make it work best for you, which leads to another question...
What is my optimal return on investment for improvements?
We help clients understand the current and future market for their homes, and how to get the best return on the improvements they make. For instance, while a Viking range is lovely, spending $8k may not get a great return if your local market standards are more inline with GE Profile or Kitchenaid... buyers might appreciate the luxury, but may not pay the premium.
Feasibility Study For a Future Home
When clients are curious, we can also run a feasibility study on what it would realistically look like to move to another home which better meets your needs, wants and dreams. By looking back at the recent market with your budget and goals, we can help predict the future market and create understanding. This is a powerful tool for helping choose a path forward.
